Our Mission:
We are men who make a difference. We have the talent and the ability to solve problems that may overwhelm others. The history of our people is marked by the relentless commitment and determination of each generation of African Americans that have prevailed in the face of open hostility toward our people. Our central mission is to improve the quality of life in the African American community. Our work is a continuation of work that came before us, and a forerunner of work that we must ensure will be carried on. The 100 Black Men’s programs are directed at young African American males. These programs offer structured mentoring, tutoring, cultural enrichment and college scholarships. We take on these and other responsibilities because we recognize the crisis overtaking the black community.
Weekend Mentoring Program, starts May 19th.
Activities of The 100 Black Men of Sacramento Weekend Program will consist of classroom sessions, workshops, and athletic activities. Our experienced mentors will lead sessions with other volunteer mentor participation to ensure mentees receive attention, materials, and guidance. This program will start on Saturday, May 12th. and will run 10-12 weeks where we will mix mentoring with group activities (e.g. kickball, basketball, art, etc.) Please sign up by completing the following online registration form: (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER)
